Conversation

The term “conversation” derives its meaning from the etymology of its root. In Latin, “con” signifies “with,” while “verzos” refers to a turning motion. This notion of turning is akin to the rhythmic and expressive nature of poetry, characterized by its use of verses and the artful manipulation of phrases from one line to the next. Similarly, in Latin, the word “furrow” was also used to denote “versus,” wherein one would guide an ox along a furrowed path, turning and returning. If one were to observe a finely furrowed field, it might resemble the carefully crafted lines of a poem.
